Sharemelon is a small, hard-working design group focused on bringing creativity to life. Established in 2015 and operating from the Hope Artist Village in Pawtucket, Rhode Island; we create ceramics and screenprinting products through innovative and exciting approaches.
From the sketch to the final product, we want to help you realize the value of your ideas.

Sharemelon Ceramic
Design with slip casting
We use slip casting as our main production method. Parodying existing disposable products, we create beautiful and eco-friendly ceramics. We also use 3D printing to create original art-work!

Melonnote
providing students with free notepads made from recycled paper
Melonnote is our current in-house project. This project began in the autumn of 2013 from 2nd Life, a recycling store based at Rhode Island School of Design. Using stacks of recycled papers, we created 1000 notepads each semester. We started off with just one sponsor. We now have 12.

HILLCREST, Daegu, Korea
Branding and character design
Hillcrest is an eco-friendly theme park located in Daegu, Korea. In the summer of 2014, Sharemelon collected branding ideas from a broad pool of designers and selected the candidates for Hillcrest.

Yongjae Kim
Founder and Creative Director
Yongjae once dreamed of running his own online design store and began designing products from a young age. He developed a passion for making objects and began taking on clients while still in college.
Yongjae oversees the creative direction at Sharemelon as well as business development.
He also enjoys Lego.
Alcimar Pernia
Accounting Manager
Alcimar, looking for the life balance and positive excitement, decided to join sharemelon team with her wisdom. By loving everyone and find the win-win strategy, she brings peace to sharemelon. With the love of art and creation, she empowers artists to the next level. She is our guiding light.
Alcimar loves music regarless of genre and enjoy live concert at least once a month
Yongha Kim
Partner and Attorney
After graduating J.D. program of the Yonsei Law school in Korea, Yongha has been admitted as a member of Korean Bar. She decided to pursue her career as a Corporate Lawyer in the United States through Northwestern Law School and Kellogg School of Management.
She owns a Lv.2 instructor of Canadian Associasion of Snowboard Instructors certificate.
Jacob Short

Jacob's job is to make things look, sound and feel alive with his beautiful soul. He stays cool under pressure with amazing smile and hand drips coffee to the next level.

Renata Robles

After graduating Brown University with her passion of environmental and urban studies, Renata organizes sharemelon with her experties in various fields including music, sports, marketing, communication, and leadership. As a natural balancer, Renata brings peace with her pure positivity.

After graduating from Rhode Island School of Design with her specialty in glass, Nicole decided to join sharemelon. Her spiritual awareness with her excellent insight about materials upgrades the quality of every project.
She enjoys roadtrip but not a fan of junk food.

Video Artist, Creative Assistant
Alison is born with a talent to find beautiful perspective of life. By exploring compositions of anything, she captures beautiful moment. She understands the natural balance.
